Megan Lesser
Assistant Principal
Megan Lesser has worked in the field of education for the past 20 years as a teaching assistant, special education program specialist, autism specialist, assistive technology specialist, department chair, and classroom special education teacher. Ms. Lesser has worked with students ages 2 through adulthood, but she especially enjoys working with middle schoolers. She was a special education teacher at Technology Middle School for the past 5 years before becoming assistant principal at the start of the 2018 school year. She is looking forward to supporting both the academic and social-emotional needs of Technology Middle School students and helping our school community grow and thrive.
Ms. Lesser earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and an Education Specialist Teaching Credential from Sonoma State University. In 2018, she earned her Preliminary Administrative Services Credential from the North Coast School of Education and will complete a Master’s Degree in Administrative Leadership in the Spring of 2019.
Ms. Lesser believes strongly in equity, inclusion, and collaborative relationships. She has two daughters ages 6 and 10, one of whom has a learning disability. She believes that this makes her keenly aware of the needs of parents and the importance of collaborative relationships with families. During her time working in education, she has consistently grown and moved forward in her career, always inspired by her love of teaching and working with children and families. Ms. Lesser is thrilled to begin her administrative career at the school she has called home for the past 5 years.
