About Principal Joshua Brown-Herrera

Mr. Brown-Herrera is originally from Carson City, Nevada, but has spent the last 15 years living and working in Sonoma County. He majored in Environmental Studies at Sonoma State University, where he also received his Single Subject Science Credential and Administrative Services Credential. Mr. Brown-Herrera holds a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Massachusetts, with a specialization in teaching and learning.

Mr. Brown-Herrera started his teaching career in CRPUSD as a Science Teacher at Lawrence Jones Middle School in Rohnert Park. Mr. Brown-Herrera was also the Assistant Principal at Miller Creek Middle School in Northern San Rafael prior to accepting his current position as the Principal of Technology Middle School.

Mr. Brown-Herrera is committed to building a positive, welcoming environment for students, staff, and members of the Tech Middle community. Mr. Brown-Herrera sees the school environment as a community where all student voices and actions matter, and as a place where students learn the value of being active members of their community.
